Meriwest Names Carol Vi Financial Center Manager

 SAN JOSE, Calif., September 6, 2006 - Meriwest Credit Union, one of Silicon Valley's largest financial institutions, has named Carol Vi Manager of Meriwest's San Mateo Financial Center. Ms. Vi is responsible for managing a team of professionals to help new and existing customers secure a financially rewarding future by providing a unique banking experience based on personalized service.
"Carol has solid experience in maintaining successful relationships with clients, as well as promoting financial products," said Maria Sanchez, Assistant Vice President of Retail Financial Centers at Meriwest. "We are very pleased she has joined the San Mateo team and feel she will be an asset to Meriwest by providing the best quality banking services to existing members of San Mateo and to those who live or work in San Mateo and San Francisco Counties, including nearby Foster City, Belmont, San Carlos and Redwood Shores."
Prior to joining Meriwest, Ms. Vi was a Business Banking Officer for U.S. Bank in San Mateo. Ms. Vi was responsible for soliciting an assortment of financial products and services ideal for local small businesses. She also managed and coached local branches in identifying potential business clients and her efforts established and maintained a social network of local professionals. Additionally, she expanded business by promoting products and services to local commerce organizations. Ms. Vi also worked for Provident Funding, LLC in Burlingame as a Wholesale Account Executive and was then promoted to In-House Support.
Ms. Vi has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of California, Davis.
