Meriwest Credit Union Opens New Cottle Financial Center

Cristina Valdovinos named manager of Meriwest's sixth location in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA - March 27, 2007 - Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, today announced the opening of the Cottle Financial Center in San Jose. The Credit Union also announced that Cristina Valdovinos has been named manager of the Cottle Financial Center.
Located at 5683 Cottle Road - between Monterey Highway and Highway 85 - the Cottle Financial Center is the sixth Meriwest location serving San Jose. Earlier this month, Meriwest unveiled its new Hillsdale Financial Center on the corner of Hillsdale and Ross Avenues in San Jose. Both locations were created to expand service to current members in the South San Jose and Cambrian regions, as well as to welcome new members who are looking for an alternative to traditional banking.

Like all of Meriwest's financial centers throughout Silicon Valley and Tucson, Arizona, the new Cottle location will feature state-of-the-art amenities, combined with innovative financial services, including:- Financial News Broadcasts - Up-to-date market information that members can view on flat-screen TVs;
- Children's Workstations - Designed to entertain younger Meriwest members with fun and educational financial software; and
- ATM - Available 24 hours a day, everyday.
Valdovinos has 10 years of experience in the financial industry, including her most recent eight years with Meriwest. Prior to her appointment as manager of the Cottle Financial Center, Valdovinos served as the lead Financial Services Representative of Meriwest's Dublin Financial Center, where she helped manage the office and its staff, as well as identify financial needs and provide solutions to Meriwest members.
