Meriwest Credit Union Celebrates the Opening of its Newest Financial Center in San Ramon

SAN JOSE, CA - Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, on Monday August 20th celebrated the grand opening of the San Ramon Financial Center. Meriwest was pleased to have Larry Sly, the Executive Director of the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties, Carolyn Degnan, CEO of the San Ramon Chamber, and the San Ramon Chamber's team of Ambassadors as guests at the event.
A sunny afternoon warmed the spirits at the Magnolia Square Shopping Center where Meriwest held a reception in honor of the opening of their newest Financial Center. In his opening address to the crowd present at the reception, Meriwest CEO, Chris Owen, announced that thru September 15th, Meriwest will contribute $10 for each new membership opened at the Financial Center. Said Owen, "We can think of no better way to serve the community of San Ramon and Greater Contra Costa County than by supporting the "Senior Brown Bag" grocery program through the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties."
"The Food Bank is grateful for the generosity of Meriwest as they become part of the Contra Costa community." said Larry Sly, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties. "The $10 we receive for every new member joining this month will enable us to provide $60 of food to our neighbors in need. Meriwest is showing how people and businesses, working together, can make a difference in our community."
