Meriwest Credit Union Given the Community Champion Award

Credit Union is continuing its support of San Jose State University's Anti-Drinking and Driving Campaign
San Jose, CA - Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the Greater Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, announced today that they have received the Community Champion Award for supporting the Spring Break Anti-Drinking and Driving Campaign. During the campaign, public service announcements regarding driver's safety and prevention of drunk driving will run on KSJS, the campus' radio station, through the end of Spring Break in an effort to bring attention to these issues. This is the fourth year in a row that Meriwest has supported the Anti-Drunk Driving Initiative. "This is an important issue to us and the entire community," said Tony Cortez, Vice President of Marketing at Meriwest Credit Union, "It is our hope that this series of public service announcements will help to bring a greater awareness to the issue of drinking and driving and, in the end, help some of San Jose's young residents make the right choice: Don't Drink and Drive."
